FCC stuff:
A study to determine the effects of conglomeration in 2004. Michael Powell stopped the study, which didn’t just mean had it put on the back burner, they literally destroyed the partially completed study. The debate has since been reopened, and the FCC has scheduled a public hearing on the matter in Los Angeles on Oct. 3.
In a recent auction hosted by the FCC, T-Mobile won a large chunk of the 1700MHz and 2100Mhz band, which is used 3G data communications. T-Mobile grabbed up 120 bids covering 474 million people, which means they have multiple spectrums covering the super-urban areas, where coverage is spottier thanks to more obstructions They spent over 4.1 billion dollars on the winning bids.

What kind of information do you guys want?
Are you all interested in a sort of database for our skills? If so you all need to give us some information about yourselves.
I want to offer points to enter the farnold competition. I don’t see any reason why the winner of this contest shouldn’t be a student in the BECA department. I want to hear your ideas.
Announcements. The whole point of this club is networking. I want to make it possible for any one of you to give me information you think should be included our announced at meetings. Also, if you come talk to me in advance and you have a really extraordinary project, I will try to make a few moments for you to make your own announcements if you like.
